Khachatrian V. International agreements of Ukraine on legal assistance as a form of contentious regulation unification

In the dissertation research a theoretical generalisation and a new solution to the scientific problem were implemented, that lies in the conceptual principles formation of the legal assistance institution in civil matters aimed at further developing (modernising) of the content of international agreements of Ukraine on provision of legal assistance. It is identified that agreements on legal assistance are one of the methods of realisation of legal policy in the area of private international law (PIL). There are formulated and analysed major dominant ideas of legal policy in the area of PIL on which the process of concluding the international agreements on legal assistance by Ukraine should be based. The research results of the content of Ukraine's agreements on legal assistance in force were used to prove the need to develop a relevant model agreement; and recommendations are given concerning its structure and contents. Author's vision is proposed concerning the solution of the general private international law issues (notions) as well as a number of contentious problems in the area of matrimonial relationships, property rights and inheritance relations, and also sensitive liabilities on the legal assistance agreements level. A wide range of general PIL issues (notions) was further developed and proved which is directly associated with the area of the present dissertation research.
