The Dissertation is the first in Ukraine to have a comprehensive monographic study aimed to explore the social and psychological characteristics of self-identity of adolescents involved in different musical subcultures. It is the first time when the specific interactions of components of teenage self-identity and trend of consistency in the process of ensuring the stability of being a teenager is in his means of staying in a musical subculture. The relationships and patterns in the structure of adolescent self-identity are revealed, which determine the type and degree of identification of a teenager with the referential musical communities. To provide recommendations for working with adolescents, representatives of various musical subcultures.
