Data on risk factors and clinical features of drug-induced liver disease (DILD) depending on chemotherapy regimen and presence or absence of diabetes mellitus have been received in this dissertation based on complex investigation of 88 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and DILD, 78 patients with breast cancer and 53 patients with ovarian cancer and DILD, including clinical data, chemistry, functional tests for detoxicative liver function, data of critical flicker frequency test. Diabetes mellitus is the most significant risk factor for DILD. It determines the form of DILD and affects negatively on fibrosis severity, the grade of HE, biochemical parameters (ALT, ALP), and results of 13C-methacetine breath test. It is shown that the use of a differentiated approach to hepatoprotector selection (S-adenosylmethionine 1200 mg per os in hepatocellular type, UDCA 20-25 mg/kg – in cholestatic type of DILD for 8 weeks) in oncological and rheumatologic patients allowed to conduct planned therapy without deviation from the protocol.
