Object - processes that affect efficiency, durability and reliability of energy-saving light sources. Objective - design requirements for energy-saving light sources of household, and methodologies to assess their compliance Novelty - improved methods of the rapid assessment of the duration of burning and lumen during the service period of the compact fluorescent lamps were proposed; these techniques are based on statistical methods, as well as on the compact fluorescent lamps' resource evaluation according to the results of bulbs' testing using frequent ignition.
