Romanchenko V. Linguistic aspects of the EU legal documents' term system establishment (German and Swedish).

The thesis deals with the German and Swedish term systems of the EU legal documents. The language of the EU legal documents was classified as a subtype of the legal language for special purposes. External and internal factors of the term systems establishment were considered. Ways of the formation of the EU legal documents' terms in German and Swedish were described. The most frequent ways of forming the EU legal documents' terms in German and Swedish were identified. The thesis reveals the features of terminological synonymy and variance phenomena in the above term systems. The influence of terminology planning on the development of the German and Swedish term systems of the EU legal documents was described. A comparative study of the main term formation processes of the German and Swedish term systems of the EU legal documents was carried out.
