Duyunova T. Execution of sentence in the form of life imprisonment

The thesis deals with the theoretical and practical issues of process of execution of sentence in the form of life imprisonment. The essence and the meaning of this sentence, its goals and ability to achieve them in the process of its execution are considered. The analysis of legal rules governing the procedure and conditions of execution and serving the sentence in the form of life imprisonment in Ukraine is made. Theoretical concepts of the legal status of prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment are highlighted, together with peculiarities of legal affirmation and realization and the rights and duties of those sentenced to life imprisonment, ways of improvement of their legislative regulation are suggested. Peculiarities of execution of life imprisonment concerning convicted women are researched. On the grounds of the conducted analysis proposals concerning improvement of the criminal and criminal-penitentiary law are formulated.
