Essay

The object is the system of geopolitical co-operation of global and regional actors in Black Sea region. The aim is to determine the role of relations of Russian Federation and Turkish Republic in the geopolitical structure of the Black Sea region. The methods are system, activity and geopolitical approaches. The situation, problems and prospects of the Russian-Turkish relations were analyzed in the context of regional and global political processes. The decisive role of the Russian-Turkish relations in the geopolitical structure of the Black Sea region was revealed. The impact of geopolitical codes of Russia and Turkey, which have historically acted as rivals, but from time to time - as partners against common threats, was shown in the context of the evolution of their foreign policy. The scope of cooperation and conflict in the Russian-Turkish relations was identified and analyzed. Five stages in the evolution of bilateral cooperation were identified: 1991-2001, 2001-2008, 2008-2011, and 2011 till nowadays. The configuration and degree of influence of Russian-Turkish relations on global and regional policy in the Black Sea region were defined. The characteristics of a conceptual framework and doctrinal design of Russia and Turkey foreign policy in the Black Sea region were studied. The thesis identified the challenges, threats and opportunities for the implementation of the Ukraine foreign policy in the context of Russian-Turkish cooperation in the Black Sea region Application spheres are national safety of Ukraine, training courses.
