Essay

The thesis is devoted to revealing the major overall patterns of regulatory legal institutions, and the features and trends of their development in Ukraine. Their structure was identified: the parts forming and maintaining norms. The major varieties of regulatory legal institutions have been isolated and a correlation with such closely related concepts as “institution of law”, “institution of legislation”. The features of the major varieties of regulatory legal institutions have been revealed: branch, public law, private law, substantive law and procedural law, and definitions of their concepts have been formulated. The current state of the formation and functioning of national legal institutions, are described. The role and place of l regulatory legal institutions in the structural branches of sources of law in Ukraine have been identified, as well as their major problems: lack of balance in the structural branches in the sources of law of Ukraine. The thesis presents methods of overcoming these problems. The main trends in the development of regulatory legal institutions in Ukraine are revealed. Attention is focused on the need to provide greater autonomy for regulatory legal institutions, and the formation of common principles of law institutions.
