Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving important scientific and technical task - improving the quality of early detection and prognosis of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) through the development of new methods and tools for diagnostics and prognosis of POAG. The methods for preliminary and exact diagnostics of POAG were developed in this work for the first time. This allows identification the disease in the early stages and assigns timely treatment. A method for prediction of the flow of POAG was developed for the first time too. This on the basis of the durations of stay and the likelihoods of a patient in a particular state allows predicting the further development of the disease. Information technology for diagnosis and prognosis of POAG was proposed and implemented in an ophthalmologist's automatized workplace. This was based on the developed methods, which reduces the time research to improve the quality of service patients with POAG.
