Essay

Object - a process of synchronization of time and frequency. Subject - methods and algorithms for measuring scales offset in the systems of synchronization of time and frequency, sources of errors of the basic synchronization algorithms, uncertainty of the results of scales offset measurement. Purpose - development of methods of measuring scales offset in the radiotechnical systems of synchronization of time and frequency by means of a comprehensive analysis of the measurement error sources and search for ways to reduce the main error components. Methods - radio-wave propagation theory, theory of reception, filtering and measurement of precision time delay of signals, probability theory and theory of mathematical statistics of signals detection and parameter estimation, mathematical simulation modeling theory. Results - a model of synchronization channel has been improved; a model of a device for cross-correlation processing of signals from a joint source has been developed; a model of a device for square-wave processing of signals from a joint external ocsillator has been developed. Implementation - in research activity at KNURE and at the National Scientific Centre "Institute of Metrology", and in the training course "Radio Navigation Networks and Synchronization Systems" at KNURE.
