Kvartenko R. Optimization of the territorial organization of the regional ecological network based on the landscape (on the example of Kharkiv region)

The object of the study is natural and man-made landscapes of Kharkiv region , territories and objects of nature reserves and their integral components of environmental networks. Objective: To study the practical areas of regional ecological network of territorial organization of optimization of Kharkiv region on the basis of the landscape . Methods: the design - geographical, complemented by a set of general (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization) and special (historical, geographical, cartographic, mathematical modeling, GIS, landscape and environmental ones). Novelty: spatio- temporal analysis of an ecological network formation of Kharkiv region has been conducted, the existing structure of land use, the extent of protected areas connecting the main elements of the ecological network of Kharkiv region - ecocorridors, has been assessed reasonable allocation of local ecological corridors on the landscape basis has been determined for each administrative district of Kharkiv region digital cross scale -map ecological network has been made on hypsometric basis; predictive maps of ecological network area of Kharkiv region districts on landscape basis have been developed. The results can be used in the development of measures to optimize the ecological network of the Kharkiv region which involve changes in the structure of land resources of the region by allocating part of the economic use of the land to the categories of special protection with resforation of inherent biodiversity.
