The thesis is devoted to actual question of establishing of quantitative and qualitative indicators of technogenic pollution of the roadside area soils by petrochemicals and its compliance with the requirements of the ecological safety of natural ecosystems. The quantitative indicators of petrochemicals transfer from the road to the roadside area and their distribution of ones in the soils depending on the distance from the road, depth of soil profile and duration of road maintenance have been established experimentally. The petrochemical content in the nearest roadside area soils is 3-24 MPC, and the accumulation rate is 110 mg(kg year)-1 for the road traffic in 1120 auth./hour) have been defined. In the roadside soils the moderately (naphthenes) and extremely hazardous for the environment (PAH) petrochemicals, which content in the soils immediately adjacent to the roads is 2-137 MPC (according to the regulations of Belarus), have been identified. Regression models have been deployed to predict petrochemicals load of roadside area soils for predictive engineering calculations when designing the roads.
