Bardukova H. Norm and deviation in the Modern Ukrainian phrasemics

The Ukrainian language phrasemics has been examined in the light of the following concepts: language as a system, system / language norm, innovation, deviation. The mechanisms of changes on the phrasemic level of the language system have been fixed. The tradition of norm formation and codification in the Ukrainian phraseology has been traced. The classification of absolute phraseological innovations and phraseological deviations, selected from the creations of the Modern Ukrainian literature and publicistic writing, as well as their sources of origin have been worked out. The role of phraseological innovations in widening of Modern Ukrainian language cognitive area has been investigated. The sample of the dictionary of phraseological innovations has been proposed, the principles of its compiling have been substantiated.
