Object of research: English-speaking dialogic siblings’ discourse. Goal of research lies in determination of verbal and non-verbal means of realization of strategies of siblings’ communicative interaction which are constitutive for formation of the sibling’s discursive personality in different life periods. Methods: interpretive textual analysis, discourse analysis, contextual analysis, pragmalinguistic analysis, functional semantic method, method of cognitive-pragmatic interpretation, conversation analysis, elements of quantitative analysis. Theoretical and practical results: description of the mechanism of constructing of the siblings’ discursive personality and their transition between the zones of the discursive surroundings is a contribution to the discourse theory and communication theory. Establishment of peculiarities of realization of the self-identification and domineering strategies in the siblings’ communication contributes to sociolinguistics and linguopragmatics, permits to gain deeper knowledge of the family discourse, its organization and pragmatic characteristics. Scientific novelty lies in the fact that the thesis for the first time presents results of the linguistic analysis of peculiarities of communication of siblings as discursive personalities; determines the peculiarities of realization of local strategies of distance-reduction / distancing and domineering which are constitutive for communicative relations between brothers and sisters; specifies the mechanisms of formation of the sibling’s discursive personality and its communicative space depending on the siblings’ age. Sphere of application: in giving lecture courses in Theory of Grammar, in specialty courses in Theory of Communication, Theory of Discourse Analysis, Theory of Non-verbal Communication, Sociolinguistics.
