Mikhno N. Region as object of construction: historical-sociologycal reflection.

Object: a region as an object of construction. Objective: to develop a methodology for the analysis of region constructing processes as a discursive form in the context of historical, cultural and socio-political reconfigurations in society. Methods: analysis and synthesis, historical, simulation, comparative analysis, content-analysis, discourse-analysis, semi-formalized individual interviews. Theoretical and practical results: methodological framework of processes research of region design has been developed; it has been offered on the base of concept analysis of "area", "territory", "territorial community" to define the region at the level of theoretical interpretation as metaconcept; it has been justified the use of approaches to understanding the region as a discursive form which provides in identifying design features of the region the determination of specific character interaction of discursive multiple types. Novelty: the implementation of a comprehensive study of the region as an object of design. The degree of implementation: the use of research results as materials for training courses "Sociology of City", "The Social Structure of Society", "Sociology of Politics", which are taught by the Department of Sociology of Oles Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University.
