Dudarenko O. Hygienic aspects of prognostic estimation and correction of individual peculiarities of the patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus

The thesis focuses on the hygienic assessment of the personal features of patients in-fected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), definition of medico-social factors that have the most significant impact on the processes of their formation, and identification of reliable signs of social-psychological and mental maladjustment of HIV-infected men and preventive significance of the prognostic criteria of occurrence of negative changes in the state of mental health of HIV-infected persons. Scientific grounds are provided for the prevention significant method of scoring the degree of risk of negative changes in the state of mental health among persons who are infected with HIV, and a new complex of meas-ures aimed at psychohygienic correction of the personality features formation and im-provement of the psycho-emotional status of HIV-infected men is also suggested. The complex measures provide favorable changes in the patients' psycho-emotional state and contribute to the prevention of adverse changes in their health status.
