Object of research is mechanisms of platelets and leukocytes dysfunction in patients with ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage; aim of research is to estimate platelet and leukocyte reactivity and to establish the mechanisms of thrombogenesis disorders in patients with transitory ischemic attack (TIA), ischemic stroke (IS) and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH); methods: clinico-instrumental, morphological, biochemical, biostatistical; novelty of research and results: for the first time the full analysis and comparison of clinico-instrumental data, parameters of blood reactivity, platelets and leukocytes functional state in patients with TIA, IS and ICH was conducted; it was proved that platelets and leukocytes are representative models for assessment of hemostasis state and inflammation in patients with disturbance of cerebral blood flow; it was established that development of IS and ICH is accompanied by a significant increase of platelet response to systemic and paracrine factors, especially to angiotensin II and 5-hysroxytryptamine; the leukocytosis, increased activation of respiratory burst and proinflammatory activity of neutrophils were detected in patients with stroke; hyperreactivity of platelets and leukocytes under cerebral blood flow disturbance lead to formation of platelet-leukocyte aggregates; hyperreactivity of platelets and leukocytes to angiotensin II and 5-hydroxytryptamine was associated with lethal outcome, which reflects the role of proinflammatory activation of platelets and leukocytes in pathogenesis of IS and ICH and their complication; the results were imlemented into the clinical practice of "V.K. Gusak Institute of Urgent and Reconstructive Surgery of NAMS of Ukraine", Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of Donetsk national medical university, into the teaching process of pathophysiology and histology departments in Ukrainian medical universities, field of application - scientific research and teaching process at the departments of pathophysiology, pathomorphology, histology, neurology, neurosurgery, urgent medicine, laboratories and diagnostics centers.
