This dissertation focuses on the comprehensive study of criminal-law protection of honor and dignity of a person by the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The meaning of terms "honor" and "dignity" as well as the genesis of criminal law regarding the protection of honor and dignity are studied. The comparative legal analysis of the legislation of Ukraine and that of foreign countries concerning the responsibility for violation of honor and dignity is given. An object of crimes against honor and dignity of a person is specified.
