Essay

There is a research of the mandolin art evolution in West European professional musical tradition of the XIV - XVIII cent. and consideration of opera and instrumental music influence tendencies in the mandolin art of the Enlightenment epoch. . As numerous aspects of the West European history of mandolin till a present days stay very peripheral for academic art science, the location of mandolin and its family in professional chamber-instrumental and musical-theatrical practice of Western Europe and including of mandolin concerts of A. Vivaldi and G. Paisiello in the context of the opera and instrumental music interpenetration processes of the XVIII cent. appears obvious and logical. In the thesis is grounded a necessity of high-quality new approach to the research of the mandolin art history, which enables to expose the sociocultural range of existence of mandolin and its family instruments, designates successive traditions of their use in the professional musical-artistic sphere of the XIV - XVIII cent. and presents the mandolin opuses of A. Vivaldi and G. Paisiello as the major stages of professional mandolin practice of the XVIII cent.
