Loyko I. Correction of gastroesophageal reflux disease at surgical treatment of patients with peptic ulcer disease

The thesis is devoted to clarifying the diagnosis features, working out and evaluation of the effectiveness of surgical treatment of peptic ulcer disease combined with gastroesophageal reflux disease. There was established that the incidence of gastroesophageal reflux disease in patients with peptic ulcer disease depends on the location of the ulcer. We found that gastroesophageal reflux disease in patients with peptic ulcer disease is accompanied by significant structural vascular disorders, manifested in significant decrease in the external and internal diameters of small-caliber arteries, area of their lumen and Vogenworth index. The results showed different efficiency of surgical and pharmacological therapy for gastroesophageal reflux disease. The best result was obtained by surgical correction of gastroesophageal reflux disease after organ-saving and organ-preserving operations. The clinical efficiency of the proposed method of esophagogastrocruropexy was proven.
