Essay

Was conducted a study of phagocytar, cellular and humoral states of immune system, the intensity of lipid peroxidation, antioxidant activity component system peculiarities of cytokine profile in rats with acute periodontitis on the background of merkazolil-induced hypothyroidism. Established that acute periodontitis, which runs on the background of hypothyroidism is accompanied by a decrease in the intensity of oxidative processes in comparison with euthyroid animals, as indicated by a decrease in the intensity of the production of reactive oxygen species, lipid peroxidation products. There is a significant suppression of antioxide protection that manifested by decrease in activity of SOD, catalase, ceruloplasmin and glutathione. The presence of hypothyroidism in experimental animals, which simulated acute periodontitis, affects the functional state of neutrophils. Took place a dysfunction of immune system characterized by immunosuppression on 2nd day of the experiment and hyperergic reactivity of local immunity on 8 days, was observed a progressive increase in proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-? IL-1?; IL-4) on the background of reducing the concentration of IL-10, increase of endogenous intoxication. Based on the integrated assessment of the main pathogenetic links of acute experimental periodontitis in animals with hypothyroidism was proposed new pharmacological drug for their correction, containing extract of echinacea, zinc asparahinat and ascorbic acid.
