The dissertation presents the theoretical and methodological research of the problems of the forming the ethno-cultural competence and offers the integrative-cultural approach to its solution. The features of the process of the forming the ethno-cultural competence of the students on the basis of the current trends of modernization at the professional training of the future teachers in the process of education in the Ukraine and China universities are defined. The positive changes in the levels of the forming the ethno-cultural competence of the students across all criteria and indicators as a result of the author's methods prove the effectiveness of its use in the system of the professional study of the future music teachers.
