The dissertation is dedicated to research of notary public as a special subject of crime. The basic sign of characteristic of notary public as a special subject of crime is defined, the maintenance of legal status of private and public notaries is exposed, and the impossibility of confession of notary public a public servant is proved in the work. Research of notary public as a person, who gives the public services, as a subject of a primary financial monitoring, and as a subject of corruption crimes is accomplished. Also the features of criminal legal qualification of imitation of documents are established. The public danger of acts in relation to violation of notarial secret and necessity of their criminalization is proved in the dissertation. The criminal legal characteristic of characterizing signs of corpus of crimes, in which notary public is a special subject, is presented by the author, the concrete propositions in relation to qualification of notary's public criminal acts and perfection of criminal legal norms is worked out.
