Karachay V. Electronic Governance in Ukraine as an Instrument of the Democratization of the Society

The dissertation provides a comprehensive research of the role of the electronic governance in the process of the democratization of the Ukrainian society. The electronic governance is interpreted by the conception of the public values. The study exposes that electronic governance is one of the instruments of the authority which influences the indicators of the welfare and the citizen's satisfaction survey concerning the activities of the public institutions. The research paper defines the basic theoretical approaches for understanding the electronic governance. It is established that the public-private partnership is the constituent element and the integral component of the successful implementation of the electronic governance, which facilitates further democratization of the Ukrainian society. The features of the influence of the electronic governance in Ukraine concerning the processes of the democratization of the Ukrainian society via analyzing of the public policy and institutional basis of the electronic governance in Ukraine, the technological, social, and political resources are explored. The dissertation represents the substance, the specificity and the prospects of the adoption and the promotion of the electronic democracy in Ukraine.
