In the dissertation the problems of establishment and development of commercial courts in Taurida province, precisely Feodosiya's, created in 1819, and its transfer in Kerch in 1841 with renaming it in the Kerch commercial court are researched. In the work is determined that the legal principles for creation a commercial court in Feodosiya were laid with the adoption in 1808 the Charter for commercial courts of Odessa, which became the basis for the establishment and activity of all other commercial courts in the Russian Empire. Defined, that the establishment of the commercial court in Feodosiya was induced by the necessity of recommencement of this city, and its role in the trade and administrative life of the region. Specifies that the sectorial legislation of commercial courts wasnt to adapt to imperial, and therefore required the constant refinement and renewal. Revealed that the transfer of the commercial court from Feodosiya to Kerch was dictated by the backlog in the development of Feodosiya and increasing of weight in the economic life of the province of Kerch. Concluded that the liquidation in the 1890s of many commercial courts was caused by reduction of their role in solving trade disputes and cases, establishing of work of district courts.
