Turna E. Comparative efficacy of combination antihypertensive therapy in hypertensive patients with ischemic stroke in history

Dissertation covers the problems of patients treatment with arterial hypertension with ischemic stroke in history for the purpose of cerebrovascular complications prophylaxis. Investigation results of 75 patients with arterial hypertension and ischemic stroke in history are presented. Features of arterial hypertension and remodeling of neck and brain blood vessels course have been established. Also, the influence of different variants of combined antihypertensive therapy on ambulatory blood pressure monitoring parameters and indexes of neck blood vessels remodeling and cerebral hemodynamic reserve have been studied. Combinations of olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide and olmesartan/amlodipine equally reduce office blood pressure, average daily indexes of systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Decreasing of pulse pressure more marked under combination of olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide. The combination of olmesartan/amlodipine assists the variability of blood pressure reduction, improvement of heart rate variability and remodeling of neck and brain blood vessels indexes.
