Thesis is the system-conceptual research of theoretical and methodological bases of economic mentality, as the institutional factor of social and economic development. The investigation identifies structural and functional contents, formation determinants of economic mentality. The improved methodology is proposed to evaluate the impact of economic mentality components in the social and economic development. The national specific and regional characteristics of Ukrainian economic mentality are investigated. The possibility to use the Ukrainian mentality in development processes of economy socialization is considered.
