Pushkar A. Phenomenon of euphemisms and dysphemisms in modern Ukrainian political discourse

This research focuses on phenomena of euphemisms and dysphemisms in modern Ukrainian political discourse. The subject of language study are ways and means of formation of X-phemisms communication units pragmatically engaged in political discourse. Experiments conducted a comprehensive study of lexical-semantic and pragmatic communicative features Ukrainian political X-phemisms. Implementation of euphemism and dysphemism effect Ukrainian political units held on phonetic, lexical-semantic, morphological, syntactic and graphic language levels, each of which operates its peculiar set of linguistic techniques achieve reclamation or peyorats value. The analysis suggests that the vocabulary X-phemisms political dictionary of the Ukrainian language in recent years significantly increased by new linguistic units.
