The thesis analyzes the genesis of the legal regulation of economic activity on the territory of the Chernobyl catastrophe. The thesis defines the main categories of economic activity on the given territory and the conditions of conducting such activities. The necessity to implement ecologically safe economic activity in the region is substantiated as the requirement to run a more environmentally friendly economy as a strategy for sustainable development of Ukraine.
