The thesis is devoted to actual scientific tasks for the managerial staff's formation at metallurgical enterprises. Object of study - the processes of formation of administrative personnel at metallurgical enterprises. Subject of research - theoretical foundations and methodological approaches to the formation of the administrative personnel of metallurgical enterprises in conjunction with the economic results of the company. Methods: synthesis and dialectical logic; qualitative analysis and synthesis; systemic and process approach; forecasting. There were grounded scientific principles for the managerial staff's formation based on the synthesis of basic principles of planning, marketing and management. Factors of the managerial staff's formation were systematized, through which the economic development of the national economy and the industry, demographic changes, changes in the labor market, socio- demographic characteristics influence the effectiveness of managerial staff's work. Methodical principles of design of the managerial staff's formation mechanism with regard to economic opportunities and financial results of the company were improved. There were offered the grouping of enterprises that provides accounting features of enterprises' defined groups to plan the number of managerial staff. There were offered to assess the professional stress of managerial staff using such indicators as the severity, intensity and tension. There were proved that, depending on the level of management and administrative managerial staff belonging to the main or auxiliary staff, or administrative-managerial staff, the influence of occupational stress components is significantly different. The scientific and methodical approach to planning the number of managerial staff based on the economic performance of the steel companies was developed. There was offered the organizational support of mechanism for the managerial staff's formation in the financial, economic, organizational, legal, social, psychological, and marketing information subsystems.
