Mohammad S. Technological basis of Ukrainian heavy sulfuric oils refining

The work deals with the development of technological basis of Ukrainian heavy sulfuric oils refining, as well as other similar by composition and properties oils produced at world oil fields. The composition and properties of heavy high-sulfuric oil (Orkhovits oil field), its distillates and residual are represented. The structural and group hydrocarbon compositions of distilled fraction and distribution of sulfur-containing compounds in it have been studied. The main regularities of viscosity breaking of Orkhovits oil residual and its oxidation process for bitumen production have been investigated. It was shown that road bitumen of BND 60/90 type may be obtained via joint oxidation of Orkhovits oil residual and pyrolysis heavy resin or via modification of Orkhovits oil residual by polymeric latexes of Butonal type. The flowsheets for heavy high-sulfuric oils processed at mini-refinery and refinery with great capacity have been suggested. The material balances of individual plants and the whole refinery have been calculated.
