In the dissertation the theoretical analysis of a problem is carried out and the new decision of a scientific problem which will consist in development, a theoretical substantiation and experimental check of model of a technique of the organization of group cognitive activity of students is offered during educational excursions on geography.In a course research the contents and a place of educational excursions on geography in system of vocational training of the future teacher are revealed; the essence and structure of group cognitive activity of students is characterized during educational excursions after geography, criterion, parameters and levels of efficiency of its organization. Organizational-and-pedagogical conditions and innovative methods are revealed and theoretically proved, the experimental model and a technique of the organization of group cognitive activity of students corresponding to it is developed and checked up during educational excursions on geography. By results of scientific research the package of methodical recommendations to teachers and students, teachers of geography of schools concerning use of technologies of carrying out of educational excursions on geography is created on the basis of group forms of the organization of cognitive activity of students in which the contents of an author's special course is included. Materials, substantive provisions of the dissertation and conclusions can be used for development of curriculums on geographical disciplines, for the organization of pedagogical and field practice, independent research work of students.
