Thesis deals with the psychological characteristics of the development of information readiness of future engineers to the professional work. The paper presents the analysis of the main approaches to study the problems of development of information readiness of an individual in domestic and foreign psychological science. The structures are presented. Criteria of information readiness of future engineers are analyzed. Levels and factors of information readiness of future engineers to professional work are investigated. Insufficient level of information readiness of future engineers in general and in some individual components is established. Authoring program of development of information readiness of future engineers to professional work is presented. The efficiency of its usage in educational process is proved. Guidelines for psychologists and teachers of high school as for development of information readiness of future engineers to professional work are worked out.
