The thesis is devoted to study the possibility of reducing anthropogenic impact on the environment by disposing of unused agricultural biomass. Based on the analysis there have been identified the environmental benefits of the energy use of biomass straw, its fuel properties and existing methods of disposal. The choice of winter wheat straw for production of fuel pellets and proved the possibility and necessity of recycling ash use as fertilizer. Theoretical study of the process of cooling and drying of fuel pellets indicate the possibility of using heat from heating briquettes in pressing for their drying. Past studies of physical and mechanical properties of straw and their effect on the density of fuel pellets showed possibility of producing fuel briquettes from straw of high humidity and found that the most appropriate to the production of fuel pellets at optimum density and maximum humidity of 20% at stage shredding straw to 10 mm and pressure 120 MPa. There is developed advanced technology of fuel pellets, which would reduce the costs of drying and improve environmental safety in the disposal of baled straw.
