Vorobjova O. Functional condition of vascular endothelium, indexes of oxidative stress, heart rate variability in patients of elderly and senile age with ischemic heart disease

Dissertation is devoted to studying of features of an oxidative stress in patients of elderly and senile age with ischemic heart disease and its role in vegetative regulation of cardiac activity, ischemic changes of a myocardium, a functional condition of vascular endothelium, quality of life in these patients, and also efficacy of usage of cardiomyoprotector as a part of complex therapy in correction of the revealed violations. In the process of complex examination of heart rate variability, episodes of myocardial ischemia, functional condition of vascular endothelium pathogenetic value of processes of oxidative stress was detected in development of endothelial dysfunction and vegetative dysfunction for patients with ischemic heart disease of elderly and senile age. Correlation was determined between activity of processes of oxidative stress and decline of quality of life of such patients. Efficacy of usage of metabolitotropic cardiomyoprotector in complex therapy was demonstrated in such category of patients in normalization of oxidative and antioxidant systems activity, vegetative providing of cardiac activity, reversion of endothelial dysfunction and quality of life.
