Essay

The thesis focuses on studying left ventricular geometry of contraction, intraventricular dyssynchrony, inotropic reserve, exercise tolerance and mitral regurgitation using speckle tracking echocardiography in patients after acute Q myocardial infarction. We established peculiar properties of left ventricular geometry of contraction and intraventricular dyssynchrony in patients with acute Q myocardial infarction. We developed the method of quantitative assessment of myocardial inotropic reserve. It was determined factors causing mild mitralregurgitation in patients with acute Q myocardial infarction and affecting exercise tolerance six months later
