In dissertation the theoretical analysis of scientific sources of foreign and native researches about development of ecological presentations and meaningfulness of folk traditions of natural scientist in ecological development of children of senior preschool age is carried out. Essence of concept "ecological presentations of senior preschool children" is determined. The psychological features of ecological presentations of senior preschool children and specification of influence of folk traditions of natural scientist development of these presentations in the different conditions of children life are experimentally investigated. Criteria (understanding of connections and dependences is in the nature, understanding of folk traditions of natural scientist, ability to use the realized knowledge in practical actions), indexes and levels (high, middle, low) of development of ecological presentations of senior preschool children are grounded. The program and methodology of forming of ecological presentations of senior preschool children on principles of the use of folk traditions of natural scientist and methodical recommendations for the psychologists, educators and parents are worked out with the aim of achievement by them more higher levels of development of ecological presentations for children.
