The thesis is devoted to the comparative phytochemical and chemosystematic study of 14 species of Artemisia from Ukrainian flora and the complex pharmacognostic study of wormwood, mugwort, Austrian wormwood, southernwood and tarragon herbs. On the basis of the research 13 substances (lipophilic and phenolic complexes, modified thick extracts) were developed, and their antimicrobial activity was established; cytotoxic activity of wormwood phenolic complex was established; the quality control procedures for mugwort and Austrian wormwood herbs were developed.
