Essay

Thesis is devoted to a complex theoretical-and-methodological research of regularities and contradictions in development of market concentration under globalization and a development of practical recommendations towards improvement of the system of state control over these processes in Ukraine. The paper shows and evolution of scientific opinions about key issues and a nature of concentration processes and justifies an author approach to the definition of market concentration in a narrow and a broad sense. Main ways of market concentration are exposed and a necessity for companies to participate in these processes and their possible consequences are outlined. An impact of globalization on level of market concentration and structure of national markets is analyzed. Special features of interconnection between market concentration level and intensity of market participants' innovative activity in a national economy are exposed. The author proves that globalization of the world economy causes an appearance of a new network type of market concentration. A system of institutional-and-organizational control over market concentration at the supranational level is researched. Special features of these processes at Ukrainian goods and services market are analyzed. Main ways of their regulation are defined and recommendation towards improvement of antimonopoly control over these processes are suggested.
