Essay

Object - the process of foreign language training of future psychologists. Purpose - to elaborate and testify the methodology of forming the professionally oriented English language competence in speaking of future psychologists. Methods - theoretical, empirical, statistic. Theoretical results and novelty - the methodology of forming the professionally oriented English language competence in speaking of future psychologists-mediators has been scientifically grounded and elaborated; the concept of "mediation in conflict situations" as a specific type of speech activity has been characterized; the spare capacity of existing teaching methods of professional English communication for future psychologists has been discovered; the types of speech behavior of a mediator have been established in correspodence with the psychological characteristics of the generation and reproduction of psychologist-mediator's speech in the process of conflict resolution by means of English; the stylistic features of English speaking professionally oriented psychologists-mediators have been studied; the lingvodidactic model of the professionally oriented English speaking competence of future psychologists-mediators which consists of five of skills, each of which provides professionally linguistic, professionally stylistic and professionally speech development has been grounded and designed; the criteria (linguistic-auditory, linguistic-dialogical, informative-selective, verbally-motivating, spontaneously-regulatory) evaluating the level of formation of professionally oriented English language competence in speaking of future psychologists-mediators have been defined; the structure of the content of teaching English professional speech future psychologists-mediators has been specified; the concept of pedagogical design of the process of integrated teaching students of nonlinguistic disciplines professional foreign language communication has been further developed. Practical results - an experimental study guide "Professionally oriented English communication of psychologists (in conflict situations)" and "Russian - English communicator of a mediator" have been worked out. Efficiency of introduction is high. Branch - pedagogical, higher educational establishments.
