Kovalchuk O. Intellectual property right to the geographical indication in Ukraine and the European Union: the civil law aspect

Particular features of evolution and regulation of geographical indications in Ukraine and foreign countries have been examined and detected in the thesis, the legal nature of intellectual property rights to geographical indications in Ukraine and the European Union has been established, TRIPS Agreement provisions as well as the EU provisions and their correlation with the provisions of the existing legislation in Ukraine have been analyzed. Civil law protection of intellectual property rights to geographical indications in Ukraine and peculiarities of international protection of geographical indications have been studied.
