Essay

The dissertation is the first comprehensive study that explores the entire complex of regulations, bibliographical and archival sources, including archival project documentation, for the restoration of architectural monuments in Ukraine in the second half of the 20th century to the 21st century. The author analyzes and explains factors that influenced the historical process of formation of the restoration approaches, changes in theoretical interpretation of goals and tasks of restoration, enhancement and increase of restoration practice, the formation of professional teams.
