Fenenko A. Virtual musealisation as a means of preserving cultural memory

The object of the study is the phenomenon of virtual musealisation in its multiple representations in the cultural space. The thesis uses a complex interdisciplinary methodology, which is based on a culturological approach. Virtual musealisation is defined as a component of the sociocultural mnemonic system, which is the process of preserving and actualization musealias in computer-generated virtual space. The institutional and non-institutional forms of virtual musealisation are distinguished. It has been proved that virtual musealisation is implemented within the exposition space and communicative practices of museum institutions, and at the everyday level of culture, through various forms of interest in musealias as elements of a socio-cultural mnemonic system that ensures the preservation of cultural memory in the modern world. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is in the conceptualization of virtual musealisation as the newest form of preservation of cultural memory.
