Sukha Y. Civil contracts in professional sports.

The thesis contains comprehensive analysis of theoretical and practical problems of legal regulation of civil relations, arising on the basis of conclusion of contracts between parties in professional sports activity. The concept and distinguishing features of professional sports as legal definition are designated. Characteristic of the concept and species of civil legal relations, arising in the field of professional sports, is made. The features of the object, subject and content of civil relations in professional sports are studied. The place and role of the treaty as a regulator of civil relations in professional sports are defined. The approaches to the classification of contracts in professional sports are investigated, and the basic and secondary classifications are distinguished. Special attention is paid to the study of civil contracts, one of the parties of which acts as a professional athlete – the main person involved in the system of legal relations in professional sports. The concept and legal nature of the contract of sports activity, the transfer contract, the agency agreement, the insurance contract and the contract for sponsorship are being analyzed. The peculiarities of the order of execution, performance, contents of these agreements in the field of professional sports are revealed. Based on this analysis, proposals on amendments to the current legislation of Ukraine, in particular, to the laws of Ukraine "On Physical Culture and Sports" and "On Insurance", have been introduced.
