The thesis is devoted to investigation of current theoretical and methodological principles and practical aspects provision of banking service in order to increase competitiveness of banks. Researched nature of the origin and classification of banking services, formulated the author definition of "banking services". The study specifics competitiveness of the bank provided its own definition of this term and reasonable set indicators competitiveness of bank. The author analyzed and systematized key changes in the range of banking services, which are influenced by internal and external environment of banks. Proposed author's methodology for assessing competitiveness of banks, which allowed testing to investigate the competitive advantages and to assess the competitiveness of a leading group of banks Kharkiv region in providing banking services. Methodical approaches to intensification of banking services in the context of banking competitiveness.
