Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of the urgent problem of diagnosis of vestibular dysfunction in women in the perimenopausal period and optimization of methods for correction of vertigo syndrome in patients on the background of dishormonal fluctuations of perimenopause, as well as considering the hormonal treatment of advanced reproductive disorders. A comprehensive analysis of features of structural-epidemiological and clinical-neurological manifestations of vestibular dysfunction was conducted and typical changes of cerebral haemodynamics were revealed. The duration and effectiveness of vestibular compensation with standard betahistine therapy significantly depended on pharmacokinetics of hormonal drugs that are used for correction of disharmonic perimenopausal states. HRT in a "therapeutic window" in women with the vertigo syndrome potentiates vestibular compensation and reduces its duration with standard betahistine therapy compared with the control group. Taking progestins does not impair vestibular compensation and does not significantly affect the duration of vestibular rehabilitation with standard betahistine therapy compared with the control group.
