Essay

A comprehensive theoretical and legal research of the technique of interpretation of legal norms is fulfilled. The analysis of structure and distinctive features of the interpretative process is accomplished. The gnoseological nature of interpretation of legal norms is studied. The main theories of legal interpretation are determined. Among them hermeneutics, analytical theory, theory of argumentation, theory of originalism, purposive theory and others. Statical and dynamic tendencies in the theories of legal interpretation are revealed. The main advantages and disadvantages of each theoretical approach of interpretation are identified.
