Essay

The dissertation is focused on the study of the peculiarities of the mechanism of action of drugs on neurotransmitter clinical-neuropsychological and neurophysiological parameters in elderly patients with cognitive disorders, depending on the stage, origin of the disease and ApoE gene polymorphism. The efficiency of a standardized extract of Ginkgo biloba was proven in all subtypes of the syndrome MCI. It is advisable to use pirybedyl at non-amnestic subtypes MCI. A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of donepezil hydrochloride and memantine in the elderly patients with AD have shown positive effects memantine in a wider range of cognitive domains. In the treatment of vascular dementia - differences in efficacy observed a positive impact of donepezil hydrochloride on performance orientation in time and space. It has been proved that the presence of allele 4 ApoE is associated with a greater degree of cognitive decline according to the MMSE total score scale. There was established a significant prevalence of individuals with genotype e4/e4 among patients with AD compared with patients with vascular dementia (respectively, 24% and 4%). The effectiveness of the treatment of cognitive impairment in dementia donepezil hydrochloride and memantine might be higlhy correlated with ApoE gene polymorphism.
