Kharchenko O. Acute pesticide poisoning in modern forms of agriculture and long-term consequens

The dissertation presents suggestions for improvement to prevent the development and progression of acute pesticide poisoning among agricultural workers in the new conditions of reforming agriculture on the basis of study of the prevalence, causes, development, structure and syndromology of group pesticide poisonings, the development of methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention. In the development and progression of clinical syndromes of acute poisoning by OP, SP and herbicides based on 2,4-D are involved such common pathogenetic mechanisms, as the formation of oxidative stress on the background of the oppression of antioxidant system and metabolic endotoxemia. Use of antioxidants - a-lipoic acid and mexidol contributed not only to the earlier regression of clinical manifestations, but also to a more pronounced recovery pro- and antioxidant balance. A complex of hygiene and organizational measures for the prevention of acute pesticide poisoning in agricultural workers in the new forms of management is developed.
