The thesis is dedicated to the study of the influence of chronic exogenous hyperthermia of various severity on structural and functional properties of rats' liver, as well as to the investigation of inosine application as a pharmacological corrector of observable changes. The results showed that chronic hyperthermia caused the increase in the number of hepatocytes and binucleate hepatocytes per square unit, nucleocytoplasmic index, heterochromatin area, the decrease in the square of hepatocytes' nuclei and mytochondria. On the side of biochemical indices we observed the decrease in glucose, common protein concentration, the increase of common bilirubin level as well as the rise of enzyme activity of alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, gamma-glutamyl transferase and alkaline phosphatase in blood serum. The severity, onset time and duration of these changes were different. It was determined that chronic extreme hyperthermia in comparison with chronic hyperthermia of medium severity caused more expressed alterations which persisted a longer period of time.
